Workshops and Group classes

At KVS, we offer vocal workshops and group classes to groups of singers who wish to improve their singing. Ko has successfully conducted many group classes at Spencer Welch Vocal Studio over the past few years and has also run vocal workshops for church choirs, helping to not only improve the individuals’ voices but also to blend their voices in beautiful harmony.

At our workshops, Ko starts by explaining how your voice works using a Keynote presentation. He covers the basic concepts of singing, such as vocal registrations (chest and head voice) and vocal tendencies, so that everyone communicates in the same language in the second part of the workshop, which is the teaching section.

In the teaching section, workshop attendees get a chance to have a short lesson with Ko. He will run an assessment scale, give feedback to singers, provide tailored exercises,., and help the attendees to apply the techniques to a song of their choice. Many singers experience positive changes in their voice after the first 10 minutes of the session, and the reactions we get from the groups are always amazing.
